We take a handful of commissions a year and choose them by what the piece is for. This is an application, not an order.
What we take
We take commissions one at a time and decide each on its own. What matters is what the piece is for — a room somebody actually lives in, a wall they pass every day, an object meant to be used.
How to apply
Two questions, and we read both answers properly.
- What is the piece for? Not which room — the reason.
- What must it never be? The version you would hate to open the parcel and find.
Write to drovianni.b@gmail.com with Commission in the subject line and answer both. Photographs of the space help more than measurements do.
We answer every application. If we are not the right people for what you have in mind, we say so plainly rather than quoting a price designed to make you go away.
What happens if it is a fit
We come back with questions of our own, then with a drawing. Nothing is agreed until you have seen it.
A commission is painted once, like everything else here. There is no proof copy, no revision of a finished piece, and no second version later for somebody else.
What we do not take
Copies of somebody else’s work. Logos and corporate identity. Anything meant to be resold as ours.
